Barawanw as among the names of languages spoken by some London school-children identified by the Multilingual Capital (2000) survey.  This word probably designates the language spoken by the Baraawe people of the Brava area of Somalia who speak a distinctive Bantu language, sometimes called Brava or Bravanese whose Bantu name is Cimiini.  There are numerous refugees from Brava living in London.
